Pinnacle of Business Excellence Awards Nomination Form

This year’s event will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024 the at Ma-te-Way Activity Centre.

2024 Nominations are now CLOSED! Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination.

The Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce thanks you for your interest in submitting a nomination for the Pinnacle of Business Excellence Awards. You may nominate as many worthy candidates as you wish in any of the appropriate categories.

Three finalists will be chosen and their names announced prior to the event. The winner will be announced during the Awards ceremony. Only those nominated will be considered.

Nominees are not required to be members of the Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce.

Nomination Guidelines:

  • Previous nominees and recipients (except recipients of the previous two years) are eligible
  • Nominees must operate in and / or contribute in the Township of Admaston Bromley or the Township of Greater Madawaska or the Township of Horton or the Town of Renfrew.

Business of the Year Award
A business who has demonstrated excellence in any or all the following areas:

  • Displays good business standards, values and work ethics and committed to safety in the workplace.
  • Excellence in customer services and customer relations and community involvement
  • Recognizes employers who demonstrate excellence in employment inclusion of job seeker.
  • Creating positive changes in the employment situation for people who have a disability.
  • Demonstrates innovative and proactive leadership within their Business / Industry

Breakout Business of the Year

A business who has demonstrated excellence in any and all of the following areas:

  • Has growth and success within first three years of operation.
  • Sound business practices, leadership, and outstanding employee relations.
  • Exceeds customer expectations in service.
  • This includes businesses who are Bricks and Mortar / Home Based / Home Office / On-Line businesses.

Lifetime Achievement Award

  • This award recognized a business that has successfully demonstrating innovative practices and adapted to changing economic times. The business has been actively involved in the social, cultural, and economic life our community for 10 or more years.

Employee of the Year Award

  • An employee who is an integral person within any sector of business (retails, health care, education, not for profit etc.). This person demonstrates loyalty, reliability, passion, dedication and exceeds customer satisfaction on a consistent basis. #lovestheirjob

Youth Employee of the Year Award

  • An employee or coop student between the ages of 14-20 years of age who demonstrates loyalty, reliability, passion, dedication, a willingness to learn and displays excellent customer services skills.

Young Entrepreneur of the Year

  • A young member of our community under the age of 30 years of age
  • Has demonstrated how they are a self-starter, had courage and vision and used their skills to build a successful, sustainable business.

 Hospitality Award

The Hospitality Business Excellence Award acknowledges businesses such as (but not limited to) accommodation, food services, recreation (skiing, golf) sector that have enriched the community’s appeal for both residents and tourists.

This award highlights:

Customer Service: A dedication to providing exceptional hospitality and customer service.

Quality & Consistency: Maintaining high standards in the quality and consistency of products or services.

Guest Experience: Creating a guest experience that encourages repeat visits and positive feedback.
